Workshops
 

Sessions are designed to create interest in creativity, our natural world, learn new skills and independence in a safe controlled manner.

Clothing:

Children will need appropriate footwear (Trainers or Wellies), warm clothes and coats or hats and sunscreen. 

We will be staying out in all weathers, although we do have shelter.  You may bring a change of clothes in a bag.  Please ensure all items of clothes are labelled, including coats.  Please bring a carrier bag with your child's name to take home artwork.  Ferry boat Arts are not responsible for any damage to clothing and belongings.  We do supply aprons if your child wishes to wear one.

Weather:

Sessions will be cancelled at short notice due to extreme weather conditions.  If this happens an alternative date will be given for you to attend. 

Staying:

Parents are welcome to stay if needed during workshops, or children over the age of 4 can be dropped off.  For Stay & Play sessions parents are expected to stay.

Arriving & Collecting:

Arrival and finishing times or If you are dropping off, please stick to the times, as best as possible, to enable us to cram as much in as possible! 

You will be met by a member of staff, and given directs for parking.  If you are late, please follow the gravel path, up the ramp and follow it towards the wooded area.

Booking & numbers:

Sessions are limited by attendance numbers to promote inclusion.  All places need to be previously booked using the online booking system. You will receive an email confirming your booking.  If you do not receive an email then your booking hasn't gone through, please rebook or email me if you are unsure.

Health & Safety:

Ferry Boat Arts prioritizes health and safety, ensuring adequate supervision for all activities. However, we acknowledge that some risks are unavoidable, and by booking you are accepting that participation in these activities is the participants responsibility.  We will provide safety equipment if it is needed during activities, such as gloves, safety glasses etc.

We are fully insured for outdoor activities, and  staff members have enhanced DBS.

​Access:

We have ramps to access the main forest space, suitable for pushchairs and wheel chairs. However access to the cabin and outdoor classroom is not suitable for wheelchairs.  The on site toilet is not wheel chair friendly due to the narrow entrance.

We can provide video or photographs for anyone needing reassurance before attending.

The forest area is bookable for private events, birthdays and for local artists and community groups to host their own classes or to work with me, email me for further details.  If you run a local group and wish to bring a group to our studio please message me for details or to arrange an onsite visit.
