- Half Term Stay and Play
Come and enjoy some nature themed arts and crafts, messy play. 10am - 12pm Free tea and coffee for parents/carers. Snack and hot chocolate for children Sessions are limited to 15 children to promote inclusion. In the event of adverse weather conditions such as high winds sessions will be cancelled at last minute. 2.5 yrs - 9 yrs Under 2.5 free are welcome to come along for free. Sibling price available (this applies to siblings only). Parental responsibility: During stay and Play sessions at Ferry Boat Arts, children remain the responsibility of their parents, guardian or accompanying adult at all times. While our staff are on hand to facilitate activities and ensure a welcoming environment, parent and carers are expected to supervise their children throughout the session and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Please note we have a limited number of places for those on low incomes, to apply please message me before purchasing tickets. Children will need appropriate footwear (Trainers or Wellies), warm clothes and coats. We will be staying out in all weathers, although we do have shelter. You may bring a change of clothes in a bag. Please ensure all items of clothes are labelled, including coats. Please bring a carrier bag with your child's name to take home artwork. Please wear old clothing, that you do not mind getting muddy/messy. We do have aprons but find they don't stay in place when children are playing. Upon arrival you will be greeted in the drive way, by a staff member who will guide you down. Please arrive on time, so others are not missing their time. Staff member will guide you where to park. If you are late please follow the gravel path up the ramp and down towards the trees.
- Dying Fabric using household materials
Come and learn how to dye fabric using household goods and a little bit of science. Create your own colours and create a document explaining the steps you have taken and a sample catalogue. Suitable for home schooled children. or any child interested in science and art. Designed for children 9yrs+ All materials supplied 2 hours Refreshments supplied On site toilets Please wear something old and bring an apron if you have one.

Sessions are designed to create interest in our natural world, learn new skills and independence in a safe controlled manner and encourage mark making in a variety of different ways and with different mediums. These sessions are suitable for home schooled children. The children can explore the bug world, wildlife pond, messy tables, free art station and sensory toys, balancing toys and hot chocolate and smores/snacks around the camp fire. - Woodworking for home schooled children
We are hosting a woodworking class for children who are out of school, or home-schooled. This class will be outdoors so please wear suitable clothes and footwear. All materials and safety equipment is provided. There will be a maximum of 8 children to ensure safety. The class will last 2 hours £25 per child 6yrs - 14 yrs 10am - 12pm Please arrive promptly so we can cram in as much as possible. We will cover tool safety, using tools, and we will aim to make an item for your child to take home. Parents are welcome to stay, free tea and coffee will be provided. The children will have a break which will include hot chocolate and smores. Toilet and hand washing on site
- Art Club 4yrs - 9yrs
Art Club - Clwb Celf Tuesday - 4 - 8yrs (Term time only) 4.30pm - 6pm Children aged 4yrs + are at a crucial stage of development where creativity and imagination play a vital role in their cognitive, emotional, and social growth. In In Art Club we create a series of creative activities designed to engage young minds, foster artistic expression, and enhance problem-solving skills. Art Club is all about having fun, getting messing and experimenting. Children will have a mix of directed and non-directive activities. They will explore a range of different materials such as charcoal. pastels, water colour, and we will look at different artists and styles of art. Maximum of 6 children per class If I cancel a class then I will add on at the end of any block booking. If you miss a class full payment is required.
- Home - schooled Lino Printing Class
Come and create your own design and print it onto a postcard. Children 7yrs+ 1 1/2 hours 10am - 11.30am Children 10yrs+will be using sharp tools, and do so at their own risk. Children under 10yrs will use polystyrene to create their designs . Children will need to listen and follow instructions. Maximum of 10 children for safety reasons. Refreshments available. On site toilets and handwashing.
