Our 1:1 sessions offer individually tailored creative support for children, young people and adults. They are particularly suited to children who are home-educated, currently unable to attend school, or would benefit from individual teaching.  They support participants whose needs require more tailored support than our group art club can offer, providing space to explore creativity at their own pace.  Children do not need to sit at a table to take part or learn. I adapt my teaching approach to each child’s needs, interests and preferred ways of engaging, allowing flexibility for movement, hands-on exploration and learning in a way that feels comfortable for them.  Through creative and therapeutic arts activities, participants can explore their interests, learn about themselves and the world around them, and develop new skills.

Activities encourage motivation, concentration, self-confidence and self-esteem while offering opportunities to experiment with different materials and techniques. We can provide specialist and adapted art equipment to support children with additional needs, helping them access activities comfortably and explore their creativity in a way that works for them.  Each session takes a person-centred approach, giving the participant a voice in choosing activities, crafts and materials. I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where individual needs and choices are respected.  A finished piece of artwork is not always the aim. The sessions also celebrate the enjoyment of experimenting, asking questions and discovering new possibilities.
