Muddy Makers is a child led, nature based, creative play session for children aged 2.5years - 9 years.
Outdoor Stay & Play Sessions
Our play sessions encourage children to explore, create and learn through hands-on outdoor experiences.
Children can enjoy a variety of creative and messy play activities at their own pace. Parents and carers can help themselves to free tea and coffee, and we provide a snack and drink break halfway through each session.
Our outdoor sessions offer a relaxed, flexible environment that may feel less demanding for children with additional needs. Children are free to move, explore at their own pace and choose how they engage with activities, without pressure to follow a set structure.
Sessions include - water & sand play, dinosaur land, paint stations, chalks, messy play and creative activities, also children can enjoy our nature corner and see our fish and learn about nature.
What to wear
Getting messy is part of the fun! Please ensure both you and your child wear old clothes and suitable footwear.
Sessions take place outdoors, so dress for the weather, with coats and wellies for wet days, or sun hats and sunscreen in warmer weather. We also recommend bringing a change of clothes.
Supervision
These are Stay & Play sessions, so a parent or carer must remain with their child and supervise them throughout, including during snack breaks, due to the fire pit.
Our small, welcoming setting allows families to explore together. Please stay aware of your child’s whereabouts and help them use materials and equipment safely. We take care to provide suitable activities and reduce risks, while recognising that outdoor and messy play require active adult supervision.
Younger and older children
Babies and children under 2½ are welcome, and changing facilities are available. Some activities and equipment may not be suitable for younger children, so please help them explore safely and ask us if you are unsure. Under 2's are free.
Older children are also welcome to book a ticket if they would enjoy taking part. With advance notice, we can arrange activities suited to their age, where possible.
Private bookings
Private sessions are available for approximately 18 children. They are a fun option for birthday parties, community groups such as Beavers and Rainbows, or families wanting to meet up during the holidays.
