Service Description

Sessions are designed to create interest in our natural world, learn new skills and independence in a safe controlled manner and encourage mark making in a variety of different ways and with different mediums. The children can explore the bug world, messy tables, free art station and balancing toys and hot chocolate and snacks around the camp fire. Free tea and coffee for parents/carers. Sessions are limited to 15 children to promote inclusion. Sessions can be booked for a 60 min slot, 75 min or a 90 min slot. It is your responsibility to check on when you sessions finishes. Please leave promptly when your session finishes. In the event of adverse weather conditions such as hot temperatures or high winds sessions will be cancelled at last minute. Alternative dates will be given. If you have more than one child, you pay the siblings price, (2.5 yrs - 9 yrs) Under 2.5 free are welcome to come along for free. (This is only for siblings, not friends. If booking for friends you need to pay for two children). Parental responsibility: During stay and Play sessions at Ferry Boat Arts, children remain the responsibility of their parents, guardian or accompanying adult at all times. While our staff are on hand to facilitate activities and ensure a welcoming environment, parent and carers are expected to supervise their children throughout the session and ensure their safety and wellbeing. Children age 2.5 yrs - 9 yrs Please note we have a limited number of places for those on low incomes, to apply please message me before purchasing tickets. Children will need appropriate footwear (Trainers or Wellies), warm clothes and coats, or sunscreen and hats. We will be staying out in all weathers, although we do have shelter. You may bring a change of clothes in a bag. Please ensure all items of clothes are labelled, including coats. Please bring a carrier bag with your child's name to take home artwork. Please wear old clothing, that you do not mind getting muddy/messy. We do have aprons but find they don't stay in place when children are playing. Upon arrival you will be greeted in the drive way, by a staff member who will guide you down. Please arrive on time, so others are not missing their time. Staff member will guide you where to park. If you are late follow the gravel path up the ramp and down towards the trees. On site toilet and hand washing facilities. ​

Cancellation Policy

Ferry boat arts has public liability insurance and a enhanced DBS. These are available to be seen on request. Please note that we hold public liability insurance for £1,000,000. ​We aim to provide a safe learning environment to reduce the risk of injury. Please let us know if you have any health / access needs before the start of the classes. I confirm I understand that Ferry Boat Arts are not liable to any damage done to clothes and belongings. We always advise that children/adults wear old or appropiate clothes to all Art Workshops. I confirm I understand that Ferry Boat Arts are not responsible for accidents that may occur at home with products, if children are not being supervised when using them, where necessary. I understand that if Ferry Boat Arts is unavailable for a session, then that session will be re-booked to a convenient time or a full refund will be due, however if the attendee is unavailable for a session, then that date is missed and no money will be refunded. Ferry Boat Arts are trained in Safeguarding. Any safeguarding concerns reported, regarding both adults and children, will be forward to the relevant authorities. It is your responsibility to ensure that we have correct and current contact details for you and all adults authorised to pick up your child. The General Data Protection Regulation, 2018 (GDPR) is aimed at giving people more control over their personal data. In order for us to send emails announcing our workshops, and process enquiries and bookings, and to send invoices, it is necessary for us to collect and record certain forms of your information, including (but not limited to) email address, telephone number and home address. By opting into receiving emails, you are consenting to us doing so. However, you may ask that all of your personal data be removed from our records at any time. We will never share your personal information with any other business or person. Please do not bring ill children to workshops and sessions. This is to protect myself and other participants. Sickness and diarrhoea have to be 24 hours clear before attending. I understand things happen, especially with children. Full refunds will be issued up to 72 hours before the event. After this no refunds will be issued. In the event of me having to cancel a workshop then an alternative date will be given. If you cannot make a workshop it is your responsibility to inform me you cannot make it.
